Known as, “The Sickness” – this 1967 Chevrolet Chevelle Supercharged LT4/650HP 5-SPD Custom is the ultimate G-machine. The magnificent body was re-finished in gorgeous Jet Black and sits on an Art Morrison chassis. It’s loaded with a ton of modern amenities. As the VIN number indicates this car was built in Fremont, CA as a 1967 Chevrolet Chevelle SS 396 2-door sport coupe. It was built by OCD Customs and revealed at SEMA in 2013. It was purchased by MS CLASSIC CARS in August of 2021. MS CLASSIC CARS decided to improve upon the car and take it to higher level in every aspect. MS CLASSIC CARS did a frame off build which was completed in September of 2022. Since completion it’s been driven a total of 100 test miles and is ready for the new owner to enjoy. It’s time to meet “The Sickness”!

The exterior of this car is car is almost indescribable with its stealth appearance. It’s the definition of rolling artwork. The body is extremely straight with excellent gap lines throughout. Countless hours were invested in the body taking it to a high level. It sports a factory style cowl hood that makes the car look like its moving when it’s standing still. The front windshield moldings were flush mounted. The drip rails, door handles and trunk were shaved for a smooth appearance. The body was re-finished with Jet Black paint which dresses the body lines perfectly. The ocean deep paint was recently detailed to a show quality shine and looks wet. It was outfitted with all new tinted glass that is crystal clear. The front windshield trim, vent glass trim and rear window trim was beautifully restored. The fabricated front grill is from a 1956 Chevrolet and has a unique finish. The rear taillight bezels were reduced in size and also have the matching unique finish. The fabricated front and rear bumpers were tucked in for a smooth appearance. The front bumper is vented with matching grill trim and is equipped with turn signals. Some other exterior upgrades include dual Billet Rides black mirrors with silver Allen head screws, four Uni-Shine modern headlights with daytime running lights and a modern white SS emblem on the rear panel. The car has a killer stance on Budnik “Gasser-D” polished wheels that are 18” on the front and 20” on the rear. The wheels were wrapped with BF Goodrich G-Force Sport tires that are 245-40-18 and 275-40-20.

The interior of this car complements the exterior very nicely. The fully custom black leather interior was upholstered by Vanhouton Upholstery. The leather headliner matches the leather wrapped dash, full length center console, door panels with arm rests, seats and door sills. The upholstery has been dressed with silver accents. The dash was fabricated for a custom and smooth appearance that matches the exterior design. The dash was outfitted with new Speed Hut black gauges that include fuel, voltage, speedometer, tachometer, oil and temperature. It’s equipped with a black Ididit tilt steering column and Budnik “Knife” 15” steering wheel. The seats were sourced from a 2007 Ford 500 and are very comfortable. The front seats are adjustable and are equipped with seat belts. The full length center console houses the new Vintage Air Conditioning control knobs, vents, power window switches, cell phone holder, chrome shifter bezel, Hurst shift lever and black shift knob. Some other interior upgrades include the rear view mirror, billet door strikers, billet door handles, Billet Specialties pedals, plush carpeting and custom Chevelle embossed carpeted floor mats. The trunk compartment was boxed and upholstered with the same black leather as the interior. The custom black fuel cell, Optima Red Top battery and trunk latch assembly was also wrapped with leather. It’s also equipped with Eddie Motor Sport black trunk hinges, Holley fuel 340 pump, Holley flow fuel filter and plush carpeting.

The engine compartment has been completely customized and is highly detailed throughout. The backside of the hood was re-finished in the Jet Black paint which looks amazing. The hood has been outfitted with a chrome top latch assembly and Ring Brothers black aluminum hinges. The firewall was smoothed, the inner fenders were fabricated and the radiator support was smoothed for the ultimate jewelry box. The heart of this beast is a new GM 6.2L Supercharged LT4 V8 that’s factory rated with 650HP and 650 lbs- ft. This amazing engine is recognized for high performance and great reliability. The engine details and specifications are included in the photo gallery. The engine was dressed with a complete CVF serpentine pulley system which is mostly black and looks amazing. A Nuke Performance catch can universal breather with braided lines was mounted to the firewall for a neat look. A custom made front panel was fabricated to cover the radiator and air cleaner. The K&N air cleaner is visible through a clear plastic cover. The engine is cooled by a new Griffin aluminum radiator It’s equipped with a black billet cap, overfill canister, B-Cool polished dual electric fans and heat shrunk hoses clamps. The engine breathes through new custom made Tri-Y headers and a new fully custom 3” exhaust system with Magnaflow mufflers and Ace Race exhaust clamps. The engine is coupled to a new Tremec TKX 5-speed manual transmission. This is the new designed TKX that was recently released. The transmission details and specifications are included in the photo gallery. It’s equipped with a new SFI “Quick Time” blow shield and new McLeod RXT Street Twin Disc hydraulic clutch. It has a Wilwood billet clutch reservoir. The massive power is transferred Ford 9” Tru-Trac rear end with 31 spline axles, Moser 3.50 gears, Strange aluminum center and Billet pinion flange. It’s equipped with a custom aluminum driveshaft with Billet front and rear Yoke.

The undercarriage is also highly detailed throughout with many upgraded parts. This undercarriage should be displayed with lights and mirrors at a car show. The bottom side of the body was re-finished in satin black that looks beautiful. The body sits on an Art Morrison chassis that was re-finished in black. Pictures of the rolling chassis are included in the photo gallery. It’s equipped with a C5 Corvette power rack and pinion steering system with a Billet Specialties black power steering reservoir. The front suspension system consists of custom upper control arms, lower control arms and Strange coilovers. The rear suspension system consists of triangulated 4-link setup with Strange adjustable coilovers. The Wilwood braking system consists of a master cylinder, 13” disc brakes with 6-piston black calipers and 2-piece drilled/slotted rotors on the front and 12”disc brakes with 4-piston black calipers and drilled/slotted rotors on the rear. It’s equipped with an E-Stop electric E-brake system.
