Default Please educate me on these style hoods

I really like these hoods, and I don't know that I'll ever find a used bolt-on one. So I'm thinking about having one made.

Anyone familiar with this style hood and tell me more about them?

Believe these are different versions of the prostock hood scoop originally for cars with tunnel rams. I think they were available as a scoop only or full fiberglass hood which is pin on. If you want bolt on hood, then you'll likely need to make your own. They are certainly pretty bad-ass.

The link is to pictures one of my favorite cars which is a 1973 Motion 454 ZLX Camaro.

In the early 70s we used to refer to that as the Sox & Martin hood scoop...Joe

I own one, mine is a Moroso one piece hood. Weighs maybe 10lbs. It has the Moroso decal and part# on the underside. I can get the info later today if you need it? Mine still has a 1970’s lacquer paint job on it. My plan is to install it on my Day2 Camaro someday.

Default Hoods

Rumbleguts396, in an older post I see detail pics of your hood and shots of the bottom side. I have a stinger one that the bottom side is just like yours. Mine too only weighs about 10 lbs..
Harwood made them and Moroso sold them.

I don't see that style on their page... call and see if they still have the mold and would make one...

Mitch I'm in Chicago, I've bought hoods from Glasstek and VFN over the years, I'd start there.
