I can tell you the Torker works just fine. Power wherever you want it... It just falls off too soon. If I don't like the Tarantula, I can always put the Torker back on

Tire pressure isn’t the issue, watch the rear bounce up. Needs a better shock, which is in the works. Got a very experienced drag racer helping me with this.
I run those same tires on my 67 @18lbs, minor burn out like yours , generic NAPA shocks on rear, 90/10 drag shocks on front , I leave at 3500 shift at 6000 1.57 60 ft

In the name of 60' times, you probably could afford to give up some torque

I agree Tim! I don't have the intention to race much but you know how addicting it is...

Thanks Speedy! It’s got plenty left in it. My buddy who built the engine and I have been looking for a TM2-O for a while with no success. Want this when we built the engine back in 2019! You going to In-N-Out 75 at Pomona this Sunday?

We had a blast at Pomona. Good times with friends and family. I got to make two passes, should've been three but I blew a heater hose in the burnout box and had to get pushed off the track haha. Talk about embarrassing in front of almost full grand stands Best was a 12.17 @114mph. The car was starving for fuel (sputtering on the big end at the top of 3rd gear and 4th gear) so I made a jet change and it actually hurt it more. Fuel pump can't keep up with demand....

I was really thinking it would run high 11s considering the weight of the car, over 3600lbs without driver, and the 3.55 gears so I'm close. I am going to convert the car to 1/2 hard fuel line with a 1/2" pickup and an Edelbrock mechanical pump.

After the track I conducted a fuel pump volume test after talking to some drag racing buddies. I removed the fuel line on the secondary float bowl and plugged it into a rubber hose draining into plastic jug. My mechanical pump only pumped 8-9oz of fuel in 12 seconds. Turning on my electric pump, which I had on during the runs at the track, I saw 29oz of fuel in 12 seconds which is about .2 gallons. Probably very close to the amount of fuel I need in a 1/4 mile... too close for comfort!

Not that the car is a drag car but I want to be prepared next time. Some things can only be discovered on the track!

After I install my new fuel lines and pump, I will install the Tarantua TM2-O intake and bring it to the dyno to make sure we have enough fuel!
