Default Cross Member

So I need some technical advice on what the differences are between a big block 68 crossmember and a big block 69 crossmember for Camaros. Thank you SYC

Yes, I did read that Joe. and I still don’t see if there is the difference between a 1968 and 1969 big block Camaro crossmember ??

Yeah, nothing definitive on the '69 member. You're wondering if the '69 assembly line cross member did not have the holes for the Muncie shifter ? Be interesting to find out. Seems the service replacement one would, as it would still service the '67-'68 too.
Maybe Jim Lammers can look at his ?
Went to his thread...member has shifter holes, if it's original..

I am looking for a 68 BB crossmember….but was told the 68 is different than the 69 but can’t see the difference.

I think I would be going back to the source that told you there was a difference and ask them to show you that, Doug.

The 67-68 Firebird cross member is very similar in appearance to the 67-69 BB Camaro unit, but the holes are positioned differently.
