How times have changed
Back in the day when I was at Chanute AFB, I drove a 72' Chevy pickup with an Easy Rider gun rake at the back window. In the gun rake was a inert LAWS tube just for shits and grins. Went thru the gate many, many times before one of the SPs noticed ... he requested I remove it before someone had a shit fit over it ...

Traverse City is my hometown and I still live there, home of Hagerty Insurance.

This bank operated the gun program for opening an account/CD for a number of years.
They always had a large selection of guns on hand to select from. I never got in the program, but have several friends who obtained guns that way. They did have a Federal Firearms License FFL, and it was a popular program.

Considering this occurred in a state that closed school for the opening of deer season, what would you expect. 😂

Love Traverse City, Michigan. My brother and I have fond memories of vacationing there when we were kids.

You probably wouldn’t recognize it today. We’ve been overrun by retirees and those trying to escape the major cities to work from home. The second smallest county in Michigan, part of Traverse City, has the second highest per capita income in the state.

Our tiny airport now has direct flights to 17 major destination cities in the US.

We’ve been found. 😏

No doubt! I have been going to TC for 50+ years and going “up north” feels the same as every city within 10 minutes of me. Progress I suppose. Just have to go farther North!!
