1970 Chevelle SS 454 Ls6 4 speed triple black
1970 Chevelle 454 Ls6. triple black 4 speed with gauges, cowl induction, buckets and console. The car was frame off restored about 5 years ago. this car has a lot of options but a few were not put back on when the car was restored. options include deluxe belts, door edge guard, visor mirror, remote mirror, HD battery, rear speaker, and front bumper guards to name a few. car does have a perfect build sheet. it retains the original motor which is currently out of the car and would need to be rebuilt. it is the original long block with the correct 291 heads, and 569 intake. unfortunately, all dated components for the car are missing and several incorrect items hence the price it is being offered at. the current owner changed to an automatic for drivability purposes. there is a 4-speed trans that is dated 73 and is an m-20, the current rear is a CKD which is a 12 bolt posi but not the correct one. Body panel gaps and paint are very nice. the car can be purchased in two different ways:
1. with the current motor and transmission, plus the original motor and non-numbers 4-speed transmission for sold. (Original motor needs to be rebuilt) the motor in the car is a 1406445 cast block that was built to Ls6 specs. none of the components are correct for Ls6. 2. the current motor and transmission removed, and the original motor and non-numbers 4 speed for sold Last edited by chads454Ls6; 03-02-2021 at 08:55 PM. |

Did you buy this car out of Port Huron, MI?

If you are using a phone, that would explain the problem. Might want to get an inexpensive camera and have the pics hosted on a photo site. Posting pics directly on here from a computer are usually too large, unless the size can be reduced on the camera.

For those interested in the back story on the engine, I found it intake to pan in a semi trailer on the west side of Detroit where it had been stored for a LONG time. I then located the owner of the car somewhere on the east coast, and we couldn't make a deal so he consigned the car to a dealer and the current owner purchased it from this dealer. Ironically the owner lives less than an hour from me so we were able to make a deal on the engine a few years back and reunite it to the car after decades apart. How the engine made it from SC (where the car was sold new) to MI is beyond me.
Anyway, this sort of thing happens so rarely that I figured you guys would like to know. The original motor was in excellent shape and still had some cool Day 2 parts such as a GM deep sump pan and roller rockers. Not sure if those have been removed, or come with the deal. |

I’m selling it for a customer who lives there. That information got cutoff when I posted it.

I figured it was the same car. I was the guy who located the original LS6 engine in west Detroit and sold it to the current owner.
