On a 69 smallblock 302 starter was the noise cone housing aluminum or the cast iron housing most of the stick shift starter i have seen have the cast iron housing

Did the 69 Z have a 11" clutch?

The 1108367 starter has the Aluminium short bolt, long bolt drive end housing.

Does anybody have a link to Chevy starter P/N's, specifically nose pieces.? I have a lot of old starters that I either need to sell or scrap, but need to ID prior. Thx in advance

Do nose pieces have casting numbers? I have only seen the Application Number stamped in the steel body. The Motors Books ( I have a few) have starter Applications numbers in them, but not much info about the nose.

No. There may be i.d. numbers on them, but nothing like casting numbers as used on blocks/heads etc.

1969 Z28's had the 10.5 inch clutch

That is why it uses the Cast Aluminum long bolt short bolt housting. The cast iron housing is used on the bigger flywheel.
