Default '68 Galaxie Fastback, Interesting CA Black Plate Car

Neat car although not particularly desirable...originally black with a tan interior, 6-cyl, and 3-speed stick on the column. If the seller's claim is true that all Galaxie fastbacks came standard with the V8, this is probably a rare car (but I'd have a 428 in it within a week of transferring the title).

The claims in the ad are not correct. 6cyl 3sp was standard on Customs and Galaxie 500s of all body styles. Galaxie 500XL’s however, did come with a V8/Auto as standard equipment that year. So XL fastbacks did come standard with V8s, but this Galaxie 500 with a 6 isn’t some weird delete option car, and I’m sure more than 50 were made.
