Default Project W-31 Another reason to attend MCACN

This is an amazing story of how GM- Olds provided Michigan State Univ. engineering student a platform (car) to build and race a car. This hands-on opportunity helped many students launch their automotive careers. I was captivated by the story and very much look forward to seeing and hearing their stories firsthand at MCACN. A special thanks to the members who did the research and uncovered this story and made it come alive; Diego Rosenberg, Casey Marks & Ryan Weaver.

Great stuff! Coincidentally, several of the original team members are guys that used to frequent my Automobilia store in the Detroit area years ago, including one who is now a GM Engineer and was the head of the LT5/ZR1 program. Jim Minneker has raced all over, including Bonneville and Sebring and has way more stories than you can imagine. Make a point of meeting him and the other guys as they are the real-deal.

It has been a treat to bring these “Students” back together, they are busy organizing the panel discussion.

They have been knocking on doors around Lansing lately....... more of the original group have been found every few months.

They have awesome stories!!!

W31 all the way.
