Default '69 Chevelle SS396/4-sp "Survivor," Red on Red

Seller claims this one is a 'survivor' but provides essentially no information whatsoever, so who knows? I love the color combo, and the relatively few options (no A/C, no gauges, etc) but it does have what appears to be the base 325hp 396. Personally I would have preferred to see a red bench seat, but the buckets are sharp nonetheless.

Some justification for the 'numbers' claim would be a good place to start....

SURVIVOR. A ever increasing over used misunderstood WORD (SMH). Dealers usually go one way or another. Over hyped descriptions or This….. the old I won’t give you much but you will need to contact me route and then, I can reel you in if you’re one of the many naive first time buyers out there LOL

I Like Red on Red in any year but I’d tread cautiously on most dealer represented cars.

More now than ever.....car enthusiasts need to hire experts in these car to inspect these
cars....even if they find that the car is not worth buying....it’s the best money spent...vs. buying such a car sight unseen and having to fix all that is wrong. Or having such a car totally misrepresented.....we have witnessed and heard all the horror stories

Just, based on the single engine bay photo...I already see things, that would. NOT classify this as a “Survivor” in my book.

Dan

I’m always blown away when someone asks for help to identify authenticity AFTER they buy the car.
It just doesn’t make sense to me?
