Default Black '70 LS6 Chevelle

Interesting to see the seller omitting any pictures of the block stamp. Pretty desirable car if it's in fact an original black LS6....

I'm always suspicious when you have high dollar restorations with the incorrect radiator hoses lol.

No mention of docs or otherwise proof of it being a legit LS6…unless I skimmed over it to quickly.

Auction ended. Dealer lies as always. I just don't see the point of false advertisement. I think any car with paper has market value but with none and it is just a clone.

Define "high dollar restoration". There are a LOT of issues under the hood and interior of that car. I hope it was not a high dollar restoration.

As for the hoses, be careful as Chevrolet did make mistakes. I restored a black LS6 several years ago and it was a 3.31 car. The buildsheet called out for the SV hose which is for the 4.10 car so it too looked wrong when restored but it was correct. With the subject car not having any paperwork that is likely not the case but just wanted to point that out.

I'm curious, so what's wrong with the radiator hoses other than they are re-pop's? I used the SV hose for my Black LS-6 restoration, but it was a 4:10 gear car.

See my post directly above yours. The car shown looks to be a 3.31 car based on the radiator top plate and the description so normally it would use the KY hose. The 4.10 cars used the SV hose as you stated.

I’m not a LS-6 guy at all but that upper alternator bracket caught my eye first thing. Rick, is it correct for the car?
