Default black steering wheel grain



… I thought I read somewhere on here about the black standard steering wheels sometime came with a grain texture on the face of the steering wheel.

… was this on Camaro, nova & chevelles ?

… what is their value ?

Believe there is a grain difference between 69 and 70

Neat report, but a couple notes to correct the article and bear in mind about Oldsmobile steering wheels:
*1968 Hurst Olds had a wood wheel not unlike some of the other GM offerings. I've seen vendors advertising aftermarket (Chevrolet) items as "NOS '68 H/O only", so caveat emptor.
*The '70-'77 Cutlass 442 4-spoke is 15" and depending on the year, had different colors, different color horn caps, and different color mounting hubs. The later Omega & Starfire wheels are 14" 4-spoke with the simulated stitching.
