Been here for quite a while. Been on CRG a lot longer.
To those waiting for pictures or a back story about this car, I spend most of my time in the garage, I’m welding a rust bucket of a Pacecar back together. Curing cancer one panel at a time...

That's beautiful. One of my top 3 color combos for sure.

I may have to drive up there and scour some wreaking yards. Or are they all recycling centers these days? I’m from west of Chicago too!

Most of our yards are long gone and sold out when the price of scrap metal rose in the late 2000's.Except for Victory Auto of course, but they have nothing older than 1995 and are 1/3rd the size they used to be,but they poured a concrete foundation so no more mud.
The southside Gold mine yards....Don's Towing,Cal Sag,Bob Billys and Canal Auto are all history.Globe Auto,(now in a different location) & O'Hare are still here but not at all as we used to know them from just a few years ago. It's all about the environment and moving cars out quicker than ever. They don't get the older 1960's-70's-80's cars coming in anymore & plus they don't really want them as they take up space and just sit & sit.

Spent a lot of time at Cal Sag back in the mid 80's. Had many intact 50's, 60's and 70's Chevrolets. Pulled tons of small parts like window cranks, headlights, hardware, etc.
