Ouch, that hurts my eyes, 8 grand and pending! I guess they only made around 3600 of them.

Default Other Chevys

I messaged the seller to see if he would provide some information on the 69 Chevelle in the background. I thought I would just see what he had because the one photo shows the front fender without any emblems on it. He sent me back a audio message that got cut off, but he also has a Canadian built orange 4 spd convertible with build sheet. A blue L78 bench 4 spd, window sticker, build sheet and pop, but no motor or trans. 69 300 Deluxe and then started to mention another convertible but got cut off. Sounds like a couple of cool projects, but I'm not interested and thought I would pass along in case anyone else is.

Thanks,
Marty

Actually, all too common up here at the headwaters of the rust belt. Either that car sat in a salt marsh for years, or William is right and it spent too many years in a salt state before going to CA.

It will get a second life as an "all original" re-body from the tags...

The trim tag would look fine, but that VIN tag is so rusted and pitted they would probably just have to make a duplicate. A pitted VIN tag on an otherwise rust-free car would be a dead giveaway of a rebody. I wonder how rusty the hidden VIN areas are.
