Default Yet another 69 Camaro Big Block Convertible

There seems to be a proliferation of big block convertibles lately - probably a lot of people trying to ride the wave of hysteria.

This looks to be a nice car - great colors, big block, AC, Fiber Optics (rare on a convertible), 4-speaker stereo, PW. But I am not sure if a picture of the engine VIN stamp taken through a boroscope is going to satisfy me regarding legitimacy. I'm not nearly expert enough to comment on the stamp on the engine pad. Seller claims original paint and says he has documentation, but he doesn't present it in the listing. Still, a nice looking car.

The pad stamp will make you dizzy if you look at it fast

The seller seems pretty evasive - several people have asked questions, and he has not directly answered any of them.

Cool 69 Camaro...

I don't care for the vehicle description done in the third person. I feel like somebody is outside, looking in

Real cars with proper documentation or legitimate stampings are never presented this way.

Instead of "Bring a Trailer"...they should call it "Bring a Bible" so the seller can swear on it that the car is legit

Can't you read. Seller stated it so it must be true:

"It is a original numbers matching car"

Where is the previous discussion. I can't find it.

Upper dash panel has been replaced. That is a bit more extensive that "passenger door was repainted"

Masked off fire wall blackout says it is an old restoration.

Pretty dismal response/communication from the seller.

Interesting that the rear Vigilite monitor seems to be MIA.

Picture #72 appears to show the "cobra head" at the top of the rear seat.

He posted up some documentation, including a sales contract from when the car was purchased from the dealer in 69. Unfortunately, that only tells you the owner and the sale price, no direct mention of the options on the car like you would get on a dealer order form, window sticker, build sheet, or POP. Perhaps you could infer that the car has a lot of options based on the sticker price, but nothing specific.

It all comes down to the legitimacy of the engine stampings and the cowl tag, and I am not going to pretend to be an expert on those matters.
