The Crane stock replacement cam seems to work well for guys racing in the Certified stock class. Our original 427 went close to 200K miles on the original cam and lifters. Easy on the valve train and worked pretty well too. There are lots of more radical cams that will make more power but they generally need heavier valve springs and ending up having a much shorter life.

Installed a Crane Kit in my 67 L78 nine years ago. No problems.

I've decided to go with the Bullet camshaft, they told me a couple of weeks to grind one. Do you know someone who has had them tweak a L78 camshaft?
