With this method.....YOU ARE GOING TO NEED ANOTHER SET OF HANDS......TO AVOID SCRATCHING.....with a hydraulic press.....it's it so much easier. You do not have to fight with the a hand held press.....and or having the control arm move around or perhaps fall out of your hand. JUST SAYING.

SEE IF A LOCAL BUDDY HAS A PRESS YOU CAN BORROW for a few hours. Save yourself a bunch of time and aggrevation.

Weather you use a press or clamps, ensure your control arms are free of paint or powder coat on the mounting surfaces. Next place all bushings in the freezer overnight or 2-3 hours before installation. This shrinks the metal enough for an easy install. It also helps if the metal can be warmed up enough to expand yet not too hot to touch.

They masked off all the bushing surfaces except the upper &quot;ears&quot; on the rear end housing, should I sand this off?
