Default 69 camaro rocker moldings/spears

Has anyone used the repo rocker moldings?

Im told that the repo ones (not sure who makes them or if there are various manufactures) - but the best repo ones out there are undetectable to the originals.

Any truth to this - personal experience?

price point the nos ones for a pair are usually about 400 or so. repo?

finish and tooling marks the same?

appreciate the thoughts/advise

My recollection is they have the same fit and appearance but are made of softer aluminum.

Take it easy installing them, easy to dent/bend.

Enio I did the "higher quality" repo on my 69 was real happy with how they turned out - I also did the black lower rockers, I thought were pretty good parts

Do not over tighten the end screws, the screw head will go thru the molding. Then you buy another set.

Eddie,

I bought two sets of the reported bulk GM tooling ones from Camaro Central. They were reportedly bought long ago in bulk from GM and are from original GM tooling? Thicker material, nice finish and snap on real nice without kinking or bending like the repops do.

They are well worth the dough.
