John,
I only have 6 Hugger Orange Yenko ordered cars with automatics and only 3 without the vinyl top. I have never seen any of these cars in person though. Besides yours there's a Bresee car that Mick Price had at one time and a Marshall car. Cliff Ernst had one back in the late 80's early 90's, but I don't know which one it was. Otis Chandler also had one that later ended up at Legendary Motorcar, but I don't know which one that was either. From the information I have I don't think they were the same car. |

Stefano,
I know there is a HO X66 car sold out of Douglass, but I didn't think that car had a black vinyl top. Was one added after the fact? The car in Hemmings appears to be a Hugger Orange X66 car with black stripes and a black top with a 4 speed. The add says it was sold new out of Colonial. I don't show any of the first 50 cars which were X66 cars going to Colonial. There is supposedly a later X66 car that is Hugger Orange with a black top, but it is an automatic car that was supposedly sold directly through Yenko. I was just trying to figure out which car this was in Hemmings since it doesn't match up to any of the cars on any lists I have. |

What is the history of the HO Yenko Camaro on Hemmings? Does it have the born with, original motor and tags?
Thanks, Dan

I e-mailed the seller through Hemmings a week ago and never received a reply. For someone asking $259K for a car the owner didn't supply very good photos or include much information in the add. The information provided doesn't add up to any of the known cars in the registry that I can tell. The ad says it's a Hugger Orange and all numbers matching with a Muncie 4 speed car that had a nut and bolt restoration and was sold new at Colonial Chevrolet in Norfolk VA. From the photos you can see it has a black vinyl top, X66 trim and a tach sending unit on the firewall. There are no photos of the trim tag so I don't know if it was originally Hugger Orange with a black vinyl top and X66 trim. I would also be interested to know if anyone has actually talked to the owner or looked at the car. There is also a Daytona Yellow 69 Camaro sitting right next to this car in the photos. That car has black YSC stripes, a black top and appears to have X66 trim as well.
Thanks, Myron |

Thats my HO Yenko car at the museum as stated above......mark acquired that car, my ralley green 68 yenko and my 1600 mile Z/28 some years back. I was happy that the cars ended up in a museum, they were trailer queens as many of you have seen them.

Thanks for posting that. That car is not listed as a known car on any lists I've ever seen. I assumed it was an X44 car with X66 trim, but the info didn't fit any of the known cars.
