NOS convertible quarters are scarce and valuable. William is right that separating the NOS stuff from the car will probably net more money to your uncle's pocket. But if the car needs full quarters, instead of just patch panels, the car would probably sell faster with the quarters included. Or maybe sell the car by itself, and give the seller first right on the parts.

Way back when I was involved in the Camaro business, we loved 'package' deals. If you're reasonably sharp, you will sell half of the pile for as much or more than you paid for all of it. What often happens is the car gets quickly flipped for most if not all the investment. Buyer keeps the parts, now free.

The value in the sheet metal involved is that it is probably older true NOS, not the poor-fitting crap GMPD sold in the '90s.

Unreal is right. Whoever buys the car has dibs on the parts.

New GM quarters. One is installed the other is still in the box.
My uncle restores old cars for a living. He’s a painter but hasn’t had the money/to restore it fully and doesn’t want to

I may end up being the new owner. I’m still debating. Undecided right now
