Default Big block Chevy valve covers

Is there a recommended spot to get information on which Chevy valve covers are which? Like a trusted list of part numbers and or very specific photos and descriptions?
Like the small indent for big block camaro vs the larger for chevelle.
Thanks.

If you are talking 1969, neither Chevelle or Camaro has an indent. I haven't looked for awhile, but the repro driver side cover listed in the catalogs for 69 Camaro and Chevelle led to the widespread belief that indented cover was correct. The correct one actually has a bump out about the size of your pinky fingernail. The shape of both for Chevelle and Camaro are the same, except for location of the plug wire tower. Also Camaro has a tab on the outside rail to clip the heat sensor. Not sure if Chevelle has that clip. I looked for a long, long time for the correct one, and then paid dearly to get it rechromed. I opted for deep chrome, rather than flash chroming, even though flash chroming is correct. I just didn't want it to have to do it over. Flash chroming is correct, but doesn't lasr very well, which is why it's nearly impossible to find unrusted originals.
