We were out the door to see the Clint flick but i had just enough time to set my VCR and watch one car go through. It was a black 69 L78 Camaro with TA's and alledged to have born in driveline and "pedigree" or "provenance" Car looked decent and it went for 39k

Was it "well bought"?

was that car an automatic? if so, it could have been my old car.... the tight hockey stripe at the 396 script was a dead giveaway to me, mine was EXACTLY like that and had 100% original drivetrain.... I sent it to Grand Cayman in the late 90's and it came back up and disappeared after the 2004 hurricane....

Charley..I know at least 3 guys on the Southside who'd cut you for saying that.

and on the southwest side of chicago they would cut you 4 ways (foways) for saying that about an 85 olds..
as my old neighbor would say the 4 ways are
upways
downways
sideways
and frequently...

and to be honest, this was stolen from the southside...

all I could see on the camaro was a supposid picture of a vin on the block when I watched it on the speedchannel. did not see a buildsheet on the camaro, but on the l78 nova, yes that one had a buildsheet.
I think prices are pretty good, except for the black camaro. I liked the black zr1 vette with the hydraulic suspension. too bad about all the wierd titles on the GM cars.
does not look like we are in a recession from the show from what i can tell.

Any 67 Z's going across. I would be interested in what they go for and the thought of the cars that sell.

the prices for the GM stuff, without VIN's and "scrap" titles were
stupid high ...

[/ QUOTE ]

My sentiments exactly....I was amazed what that stuff was selling for.

Also, a 90 Corvette ZR1 with 2500 miles for $60K? Two similar ones in HMN this month for half that.
