Default Legendary Fiddler, Byron Berline passes at 77

I met and spoke with Byron multiple times since Sherri and I moved to Guthrie. We attended several of his concerts held regularly here in this small town of just 10,000. He charged a whopping $10 a head. During intermission, you got a piece of home made pie (while it lasted) for a dollar. It was liking being in Mayberry.

I cried when his fiddle shop burned down. Just a parking lot now. But he relocated just down the street.

Funeral is today. What a talent. What a gentleman. What an all around good guy. Very humble too. Had a Gold Record on the wall for his instrumental work on "What a Fool Believes", but you would never know from his demeanor.
