Default 67 Chevelle SS396 Convert on BaT

Color change from Granada Gold to Bolero Red (Resale Red) and apparently has had factory a/c added, but looks like a nice car.

“Branded California title”. Does that mean it’s a salvage title?…

Amateur Quickie REFURBISHMENT. Make a nice little driver car. I can’t stand when these cars get done and they leave trunk lid bolts unpainted. Ughhhh

From what I read in the Q&A, it means 'mileage not verifiable' since the odometer was reset to zero (why do people do that???) when it was restored.

No "E" in group 2 on the TT.

Not an easy job, cowls are substantially different.

I wasn't knowledgeable enough to know about the absence of the letter on the TT, but someone else noted it in the comments on the auction, hence my comment here about it 'appearing' to have been added. Thanks to Bill W for confirmation

Originally a headrest and 8-track car, per the TT. Shame they are both gone!

Unfortunately the seller seems to be relying on a prior owner’s ad copy to make his claim of numbers matching I’ve been waiting a couple days to SEE the stamped numbers to verify originality and all he posts are SCREEN SHOT photos of what’s obviously a prior owner’s ad

70 plus photos taken (SMH)

He finally posted pics of the stamps on the 13th in the comments. Deck stamp is good. That must have helped fuel the insane final price. Someone REALLY wanted a red 67 vert to pay $65K for a color change on a mediocre restoration that used lots of lower-quality and/or incorrect repro parts ... But congrats to the seller!!
