The car was never restored and the small block heater box appeared to be original??? Also, no cowl hood piercing in the firewall????

Thanks, Bruce

The next couple of weeks should prove very interesting regarding this car. I have left my contact info with the seller and the buyer. I will NOT try to "BUY" the car buy offering the seller more money. A deal is a deal! I will stand second in line and wait. If the good Lord and satan decide to work together on my behalf....maybe I'll have a second chance.

Bergy brings up some very good questions. I have only seen the pictures in the ad. I thought that looked like a small block heater box, but the pics aren't real clear. If there is a a typo on the vin list I would think this car would be known by now. Is there any info out there on this vin? 124379N616414

Bergy, you say this car has never been restored. The stripes were added if the owner is correct in saying it was cloned into a Z/28. Did you check the cowl tag for the color? I assumed it wouild show 79 B for the Yenko or 72 A as it is represented. I don't think any Yenkos got white tops. Would't the body number be very helpful? I have lots of other questions, but I guess its too late now.

Dave

The owner was a very nice guy, and I was really trying to help him - not buy a copo cheap. I told him that the speedo was from a very valuable car and he should call JM to have him look at it. There were some good signs of it being a copo, but the rear was wrong, radiator, heater box, etc. When I saw that the firewall wasn't pierced for the cowl hood wiring - it looked un-copo like. My bad (really bad)!

I think I would be looking for hidden vins if there was no firewall piercing.
