Default Cowl Induction Actuator Brackets

I recently was taking parts off an early cowl induction hood from a Sept 69 built chevelle ss.I noticed the actuator bracket looked different so I went and got a NOS one I had and compared-as you can see the original early one has a full circle in the middle while the nos one has a stop added and also has"Front" and arrow stamped on it while the original doesn't. Talking to Rick Nelson he says the stop was added late 69 year to stop the flapper from opening too far by stopping the arm on the actuator-without the stop the flapper door can also close too far and not be flush with the hood-always learn something new on these old cars!!!!
Keep on Cruising!!!!
