Default Restoration Recommendations

A Friend of mine asked me to put his 1970 Z28 back to it's stock form. Most of the parts he had stored that came with the car but it had an aftermarket BB stuffed in it and it just wasn't right. As it sits now It's about 92.3% OEM on parts and we may add as I find them for him.

I'm going to take this opportunity and thank a few of the individuals I used during this process. I'm not a business that does this just a oem nut/nerd that dabbles on the side. There are others out there that do the same things but these are a few that I used and was very pleased with the results.

Feel free to add others to this thread as well. I just wanted something out there for the backyard guys to have for reference.

The first thing I sent out was the original to the car Holley.

This went to Eric Jackson at Vintage Muscle Car Parts.

Also, Chuck aka 427King was also very helpful with a few items.

There were others I used locally as well but the previous were the bigger ones that I sent out.

I also learned the 70 Camaro is a fun one to find parts for......

Not sure how many you have. Can you upload to a photo sharing site or I could give you access to my Dropbox account. One thing in particular for right now is strangely enough the front valance Camaro emblem. There was a transition after 04B and before 05A to one that didn't have a slot around the outer edge. Is this one a known original?

I was able to pull this from one of the photos. The next time I'm over there I could get a better pic. To my knowledge this is the one that came with the car. I know it's been repainted at least twice. Factory Shadow Gray car, then maroon and now black.

I also have to mention board Member Smallhurst on the Sponsor page Rusted Tires, Russell Small 816 654-3400 for the tires. Fast service great pricing. Pleasure to deal with.

(yes working on replacing the lug nuts...)
