Default The Longest Day...

Today is June 6th, 2021...the 77th anniversary of the allied invasion of Normandy. It is important to remember all those who served and made the ultimate sacrifice for our freedom on D-Day.

The photo below is a local navy veteran and his wife...he served as a gunner on a landing craft at Omaha Beach, he was wounded in the battle. They have been married for over 70 years.

Lest we forget

So great you bring this forward each year Wilma which is the first I've seen/read/heard about it so far today, such disrespect by our country's leader's is outright shameful also are we the people they've helped forget.
Thanks to those who gave their everything for the freedoms we all still enjoy each and every single day!

It really hits you seeing those pictures that those were boys doing a man's job. How brave they were. The man I bought my first farm from went in on something like D3 day if I remember what his granddaughter told me. I believe it was the 3rd day after the invasion. Had to be a horrible scene.
