Looks like the deep groove pulleys are still there. Cool car. Looks like it didn't have gauges originally (Nova black face console gauges, no clock in dash cluster).

it does not have X33 or X77 on the tag, so, im assuming its a clone.
tach is 8000 rpm i ll take more pix tomalla when i bring her home.
I think i paid fair price for it. I don t need a real Z.. Ive wanted a 69 since i was a boy

Pull the back seat most early 711 interior cars have a X3 or X7 on the rear bulkhead in yellow or white grease pencil.

Here are two examples

the X7 is in a 10D (early) 69 Z28

Also check the axle code and date, check for signs of white on the top of the firewall or in the wiper well. (car would ahve had white stripes if it were a Z28.)

Congrats on your purchase...
If it were mine I would be into it heavy, I think it may be a Z28, check the alternator to see if it is an 837, and the date, start searching owner history.

FWIW cowl hood was not available when it was produced, it has one style trim tail light and one non style trim tail light lens. The grille should be and looks so much better argent (silver).

It looks like you did indeed get a good deal... ESPECIALLY if it checks out to be a Z28.

Nice looking car even if it turns out as a fake I would still drive it and have fun.

It looks like it had an aftermarket coil mounted over the heater box, deep groove pulleys are in place, disc brakes, right master cylinder, nice air cleaner sticker that has some miles, original shifter handle, etc... I would say it probably is the real deal and 72/72 711 is a nice combo. Congrates...
