'Hoosier Hell' '69 COPO Camaro, Queen City Chev delivered with Protectoplate
Not an often seen color combination on any '69 Camaro, much less a COPO 427. $175k asking price.
This thing is just perfect for a set of Sun 2 5/8" gauges to be installed under the dash...and I'd have a set of vintage TTs bolted to it as soon as I got it home. Link to 1969 COPO Camaro auction 124379N666906 |

There were two other Queens City COPOs at MCACN XI this year.

I would opt for a nice set of period-correct Cragar SS with big/little tire combo like it sported back in its drag racing days. I am liking the "day-two" looking cars more and more, because that's the way I remembered them. Very few people were driving those cars around with the steelies and dog dish caps. IMO that look has become a little played out.

I remember very few Muscle Cars with stock/wheels and tires from back in the day.
One of the Super Kool aspects of MCACN is that the show recognizes Day II cars. Now we just need a Day II Vintage Certification class. |

I need to make it up to the MCACN show sometime! Yeah, I kind of like looking at the Day Two cars even more than the perfect nut-and-bolt restored cars. It's like looking at a time capsule - especially the unrestored cars.
