looking for post ...
Have spent more time than I should have looking through the forums for a post about a '69 MOTION Chevelle Tribute. The car is black w/red stinger hood, and was at last falls MCACN show in Chicago. There was, I believe, a link(?) to the photos taken during the restoration/reassembly process. Anyone remember the car?
Did not have much luck using the "search" function. Kent '68 Malibu ZZ502/502 ACES #5102 |

Re: looking for post ...
I remember the car, it was parked right next to my Buick. As I recall the owners name was John. I should have his number somewhere. He lived close to Chicago. He said he also has a black Post car so maybe Dan Vasic knows him?

Re: looking for post ...
Dan,
Thanks for the offer to help. Was looking to add to the "Day II" theme on my '68 by adding a set of ladder bars - and remembered the detailed photos of the '69 Motion Chevelle Tribute you posted. After much reading/research on the different forums - seems that there were not very many positive comments to say about them when used on the street. So now, I'm not sure. But man do they look cool! Re: looking for post ...
I ran ladder bars on my 65 for several years on the street. It was a little harsh compared to the "no-hop" bars I replaced them with, but I plan on going back to them since I have been working on putting my car back to closely resemble the way I first had it.
