Interesting. Rough block, but if you own the car....

'

There may be others closer but just six Vins later is a Sport Chev MD delivered 9561 car.
Bummer it's rough but worth having if real also cool if a previously unknown Vin.

Is the D219 casting date later than the production day for this VIN?

The stamping date T0421 MN matches the casting date...which is kinda cool. With that VIN, production of the actual car would have been sometime in May or maybe late April

-Possibly a early May - I have a 04C L78 Camaro with a vin 2,094 units prior with a final assembly date of April 28th at 912 day production that could have pushed this car from a 04C to 05 car
More data points- even though a number of the later 512 blocks have early casting dates- this one is very close-
I have 272 L78 blocks D 15 9 2,000 before my vin and D17 9 2200 after my vin which is pretty close to the D21 9 which is 2,094 from mine or 2 1/2 days -if my thinking is correct- for these non standard cars
