One from my neighborhood in Berwyn. It was called The Spindle and has been recently torn down.

Ugh. That photo pretty well sums up why I moved to Arizona.

The rest of the pics are great, Frank I like "the spindle"....there must be some story behind it....

I hear you there Bill. Ugh is right. Too many childhood Buffalo days that looked like that. Trying to get back to AZ (where most of my family is) but I'll have to take yet another stupid bar exam and then find a job. Eventually I'll make it happen. Any leads are appreciated.

Thanks for the pics as always, guys.

We always called this the "Car-Ka-Bob".

I worked right up the street from this strange monument. I used to think to myself that if ANY one of those cars on the skewer was valuable, someone would have stolen the entire display in the middle of the night. But the cars have a giant spear through them, right? No problem in today's greedy, unscrupulous, hack-em-up, glue-together, auction-them-off world we live in today.

The Car-Ka-Bob was also shown in the movie "Wayne's World".

Hmmmm....racing?

I remember that building from when we used to drive to downtown Chicago...

All I remember about the highway names was the "Dan Ryan Expressway" LOL
