Default Vv Cooke nova returns home

The 1969 VV cook Nova returned home to Laconia Indiana over the weekend for a brief visit. it lived in that area up until 1990 when it was purchased and taken out of state. This picture is the same car in front of the same house taken 40 years apart.

Very cool. A lot of emotions for the family. Thanks for sharing and making the trip with the car to see the family

Default Notice the grill?

I took Beverley Withers and her daughter Lisa with me in the Laconia days parade. Yes it was very emotional for Beverly. She had not seen that car for 35 years. Other family members present as well as friends and even the milliner brothers who owned the car for 7 years after Jerry Withers sold it. lots of good stories including what is probably the reason that you see that the car has an SS grill in the old picture. According to the neighbor Buddy Decker, Jerry ran into his pony and did damage to the front of the car. The pony did not fare very well either.

Awesome... Randy Miller is the one who originally took it out of the area isn't he?

I like the RAKE of the car in the first picture... did it have different springs put in the front for weight transfer?

I just spent a half hour looking for my pic I took of that car sitting outside in front of Mitch Moore's shop I took in about 89 or 90. It's here somewhere with everything else I can't find.
