Did you unhook the MSD when it was welded? It’s recommended to do so.
Gonna be fun to beat on that one, huh? Dump it at 6, shift at 7 and let her eat!!!

Yes I did Dave. Also put a surge protector on the car.

The motor is working like a charm here. Had it out last night and peddled it a bit. It can sure lift the front end up with those 90/10 shocks on it. I was happy to see the rears didn't rub when it squatted. Couple pics out front after I got home. Still not finished the car and have yet to install outer trim, but it's coming along.

I NEVER get tired of looking at pictures of this car. Please keep posting more.

It's funny, my wife looks over my shoulder sometimes and always smiles and says "more car porn"?

So...

Been taking my sweet time getting all the little things dialed in with the car and really, I've been in no hurry to get it out for additional shake down runs. In saying that, I've had my share of little annoyances and things that try and fight back...but finally, I torqued down the front suspension this week, lubed the grease zerks, double checked all the fluids, double checked the driveline & suspension settings, and finally timed the motor last night before adding a couple gallons of fuel. So I'm now ready for a little shake down run to ensure all is good...right?

Nope...not so fast says some little Noid. You forgot something...and it's going to cause you some grief. Maybe not enough to stop you in your tracks, but enough to humble you, and remind you that you're human. (grrrrr)

I could hear the M23. I love that sound. Was that a rare deep groove pulley? Glad it didn't do any more damage.

It was suppose to have been a real one and came in a parts swap but I think it was a repop. I'm just lucky it didn't come off when I was setting the timing as I'm sure it was up around 4K when I had the light on it to check total advance. The nut must have come off when I fired it up because it was laying under the lift and I just swept it out earlier in the afternoon...so it had to have just come off when I pulled it out to time the engine.

On a good note...I picked up a nice pair of original Jan 28th YH wheels yesterday through eBay. Nicely restored, no pitting and they spin true. Whenever I can get some new Goodyears without all the backorders, I'll get some rubber ordered up for them.

You didn't screw around getting the wheels!!

Glad you did hurt anything else with the PS pump pulley. That could have sucked @ 7000 plus!

Sounds bad ass

Thank you Greg. I really enjoy sharing it all as well.

Best part is getting to drive it at the end. Then it's always the age old question for me.

What next?
