Gerald Chiounard found the car in Ontario in the late 70s. He also had two 69 L88s as well. This is a very nice car, definitely one of the better 67 L88s. I hope that it does well.

Hi Bill, the 69s that he had were a blue coupe and a silver coupe that I owned years ago. The blue coupe has Canadian paperwork and has a blue leather interior. It's been owned by the same owner for 25 years. The silver coupe had a black interior and had its original tank sticker for documentation.
I agree that Jerry is a very nice guy and I went to his home over ten years ago and bought some parts from him. He had a nice parts collection and wanted to sell it off. I wish that I would have purchased the entire lot. I know that he did eventually sell everything.

"The Bid Goes On"...as they say in Mecum-speak. $3.7M bid but no sale on this L88. However, it looks like Kevin S. did sell his Hemi Cuda convertible for $3.5M just prior to that, so I think he can still cover this month's rent check and light bill....

They talked to him after the hemi sold. He didn't seem like he really wanted to sell the car. He seemed like he was in shock he sold it!

Sam, the announcers were saying that it is a world record for any regular production American Muscle Car. I am not in a position to confirm that.
