Anna Scripps Whitcomb Conservatory, Belle Isle (Detroit) Michigan

William Edmund Scripps was the publisher of the Detroit News, founder of WWJ radio, an early aviation pioneer, and part founder of the Scripps-Booth Automobile company.

The Scripps mansion, located in Lake Orion Michigan (on Scripps Road, fittingly), is still standing and is an "auto baron" residence similar to Meadowbrook, Cranbrook, or the Edsel Ford Estate.

A truck carrying ammonium nitrate wheels caught fire, the truck flipped, and it exploded in southern Arkansas Wednesday morning, and this is the size of the explosion crater and the surrounding damage to the forest on U.S. 278 near Arkansas 57.

Where did the truck end up? The explosion must have put it airborne.

There is no truck. The blast was so powerful it was heard 100 miles away.
