Default Spiral Shocks - Rebuild??

I know this topic has come up before - how do we get original spiral shock rebuilt?

I have several assembly line dated spirals and would like to have them rebuilt internally - i can restore the outside easily enough.

I have heard people saying try this guy and try that guy - BUT never have i heard a response that was - wow outstanding rebuild - actually - i never heard of the results of the "try these guys"......sooooooo
I'm going around on this again looking for potential restorers for the shocks.....anyone have a good lead, experience with someone ...OR....this is just not possible??

Appreciate the help and advise

Eddie, Dan Patch is very well known in the Corvette world is quickly becoming the end all be all for shocks. He has a few services:

-Restamp service, he will take new shocks and stamp a date/part # which are undetectable on the show field
-Restoration service, restoring your original shocks mechanically and cosmetically
-Antique service, he will take your original or his restamp shocks and make them look survivor-esque, great rust, patina etc.

I've used all three services many times. Turn around is about 2 months. Cost is not cheap... I think about $300/shock? Being said he is a true craftsman and his work is fantastic.

Good luck!

Dan
