Default upper control arm bumpers

I am trying to find new upper control arm bumpers for my 69 nova that I am redbuilding. The bumpers I took off are bolted on like the bottom ones but the only ones I can find are the push in type (what gives). I know they are stock because the car has low miles (the rubber has age rot) and previous owner has not touched them. This car is an original l78, now would that make any difference?

You are correct they should be bolt in not push in. They are out there. I found a NOS set for my 68 L79. They were also used other GM cars my NOS ones referenced corvair rear suspension. I had the GM part number from my originals to search with but can't seem to put my eyes on it for you now. I see restoration shops using them, maybe they will be kind and tell you there source for getting the correct ones for your car. They should look like this.

You are correct, that's them. I checked all of the after market parts sites but they have the push in type. I found a set that were for early corvette, they were old and a price tag of 100 dollars=I'll keep looking. Thanks for your help.

I am almost positive I have the picture of the part number on my home computer. Send me your e-mail and I will send you the picture of it.

I have the number on my old ones, it's 3858017 but GM doesn't carry them anymore. I am looking for an aftermarket company that has the ones with the bolt.

Saw the ones for 100.00

Also this one for 49.00
http://www.ebay.com/itm/NOS-1965-69-Corv...d79&vxp=mtr

I wasn't aware they were used on Corvettes. But I think I paid 50.00 a piece for both mine. They were used on corvair so try corvair parts supliers they may be cheaper there than a corvette catalog.

Did all the Novas use the bolt on snubbers in 69?

I remember taking apart an early 70 (Sept) and seems like it had the push in.

Seeing that the Nova and Camaro shared a subframe and control arms in 69, seems they would have used the same upper control arm snubber. I know my Camaro came with push in type.

Depend on which plant?

Depended on the motor and year. 68 BB nova had them they were all SS cars, my 68 L79 had them not an SS car. I think all SS cars got them in 69-70 but not sure on those years.
