New Ulm, MN Harrell??
TopStock;
The only Harrell I've heard about in MN was a Cortez Silver, Blue interior, a/t on the column '69 Camaro that was from Arkansas. It ended up in Princeton,MN in the late '70's. M

Re: New Ulm, MN Harrell??
I will be going to New Ulm in the next week, and will stop by the fellow who gave me this tip. Will let you know what I find out.(shhh)
The cortex silver sounds interesting, do you know more about it? I have recently seen a column shift '69 with blue interior, but painted black, original color was glacier blue, has Harrell emblems on the back 1/4's like Kevins. X44 code, now has a pass. '69 427/335 with T400 in it. I will post the VIN (with permission from current owner), as he is trying to determine if it is a Harrell car, transplant vs tuner. It is not a Gibb car. Car has not been touched since early '80's, does run with 75K on odometer. Apparently was from Florida in the late 70's. Stored since, however, now back on the road. |

Re: New Ulm, MN Harrell??
Here it is for all to see, the VIN and data plate information for the 1969 Camaro mentioned in the above post:
VIN: 124379N663718 Body Trim Tag: ST69 12437 NOR351113 BDY TR715 53 53 PNT 06A X44 Here are a couple of more clues, for you musclecar archeologists. The car is fitted with a Chevelle 12 bolt rear end, with perches and leaf springs. The passenger car 427-335hp/400T is '69 dated, is a 512 casting, but as stated above, not anywhere close as far as being original. It is out of a full size GM from what I can determine. There is a cutout in the transmission tunnel (6x3") from a floor shifter application, but the column shifter is now operational. It has a cowl hood. I have not inspected the car up close, to see if it has cowl hood wiring and parts, 3/8 fuel line etc. or other copo items. I hope to do this in the near future. |

Re: New Ulm, MN Harrell??
Back from a month in Peru.
The VIN is right in the middle of a bunch of COPO's. And the trim tag confirms it is a Harrell COPO. Be curious what options are on the car. Power steering, etc?

Re: New Ulm, MN Harrell??
What information on the cowl tag confirms it is a Harrell COPO car?

Re: New Ulm, MN Harrell??
Mike;
I believe the COPO Camaros were built in blocks of body #'s like the other COPO cars. I would imagine that there are other Harrell COPO cars that have body numbers very close to this one. If it's not the body number that signifies it as a COPO, then KurtS has another secret identity process!! M
