Paul Cornman's 71 Demon was in the Super Street Small Block Naturally Aspirated class which allows some suspension modifications. He ran a 8.91 on day 1 which was faster than the winning average. However, he too was unable to make it to Norwalk for day 2. This car was powered by a 429ci small block Chrysler in past years so I assume it still had the same engine.

Dalton Major's 70 Chevelle SS finished 5th in the Street Race Big Block Naturally Aspirated class which is a class for cars with mostly stock suspensions. He averaged a 9.79 with a best of 9.62 on day 5 at Martin. This car is powered by a 557ci big block. This was another very clean car.

I was there watching these cars qualify and race at US 131 Motorsports Park in Martin Mich. Chevy power baby. Steve Morris race engines out of Muskegon powered a lot of these cars. Heck of an engine builder and one of the best in the Country. One beautiful strip and facility.

Brian Acton's 70 Nova finished 8th in the Street Race Small Block Power Adder class with a 8.87 average. He ran a best of 8.77 on day 4 at Byron. This car was powered by an LSX with a single turbo. The cars in this class couldn't run quicker than 8.50 due to cage limitations so the fastest cars in the class were being hot lapped trying to get as close to 8.5000 as they could.

Josh Lester's 78 Cutlass was in the Street Race Small Block PA class and ran a troubled 9.88 @ 118 on day 1 at Martin. He didn't make it to Norwalk. I'm not sure if this car was turbocharged or supercharged.

Philip Denice's 64 Nova was in the Street Machine Eliminator class. This class was limited to 10.00 and slower cars. The top 32 cars qualified for a bracket race on day 5 at Martin where their dial in was .10 below their 5 day average. This car had a small block with EFI and NOS.
