On the left - a comparison of a HD Boss 302 Spindle versus a regular Mustang Spindle. On the right is the special metal brace that strengthened the shock towers of a Boss 302 which pulled apart due to the wider road grabbing F60s during testing.

Originally the 1969 Boss 302 was to have a 7/8" front sway bar coupled with a rear sway bar. But the rear bar couldn't be tooled in time so the front bar was reduced to 3/4". The larger front bar would have decreased body roll considerably but the resulting increase in understeer would have defeated the purpose.

This car has a Q code non ram air 428 in it. All production 1969/1970 GT500s had the R code ram air 428 in them.
