Yes, 1800's. I was thinking 1890's, but it could have predated the land run, which was 1889. It is less than 100 yards from the rail road, which was here before the land run.

Well, don't need anyone in Milton, NY area to pick up one of these cast iron manhole cover assemblies. Apparently the seller sold all they had (more than 10). Guessing a municipality bought them all. Who else would have a use for more than ten manhole cover assemblies.

Waiting on a quote for a composite set up. Should be much safer to install.
