Holy cow. According to the auction description, this one used a donor body and had a "non-OEM" trim tag. I'll cut y'all a deal right now for my LB COPO - $245K for any SYC member!

I believe this is the car that was traded in on the Autumn Gold Pilot Chevelle that you now own, Bob. The story from folks that I spoke to in Vancouver in the 90's or early 2000's was that the original owner of the Chevelle (a gentleman named Steve Chequer who is no longer with us) traded in an orange 4 speed COPO Camaro on the Autumn Gold LS6 Auto car because he preferred the auto for bracket racing. I did speak to his widow many years ago and she vaguely remembered the cars but nothing else.
