Default NOS Nickey Emblems

I've got a buddy who wants to sell a set of NOS Nickey emblems he's had for almost 50 years. Any idea what they are worth? I'm not trying to make any money off them, I just don't want him to give them away.

I think the k was only backwards on printed advertising, not cast backwards into the emblems themselves? I'm no expert on Nickey memorabilia but have no reason not to believe they aren't 100% the real deal original parts. Looking forward to what Stefano has to say.

The 'K' was not backwards on the original emblems. Karl Chevrolet picked up on the backwards "K" after the NicKey Chevrolet Dealership was sold.

It is my opinion that these are Old reproductions. I have seen these as far back as 20 years ago with some being sold on eBay 8-10 years ago. Just my opinion and I know this contradicts what your friend has told you.

Why ask this question 2 days after they sold for 1 bid on eBay for $220?

Thanks for the reply Stefano, the owner said he bought them in the 70's but has no idea on the specific year, just that it was over 40 years ago.

Good question Mr.70. I didn't know they had been on ebay so I called the owner today to ask him. Turns out he listed them on ebay sometime last week and somebody bought them with the buy it now option but didn't follow through on the deal. Since he knew I was into cars he texted me to ask me if I knew what they were worth, which I did not so I put the post on here to try to find out for him since he quoted me a price way less than $220.00 and I didn't want him to just give them away. Again, I'm not looking to buy or sell them, just trying to point the guy in the right direction since I don't need or want them.

I think I'm just going to recommend him to list them on ebay cheap with no reserve and let nature take its course unless someone has a better recommendation for him? If they're what he says they are I think they will bring a fair price.
