Default Dealer Emblems - Possible Source

Well after more than 3 years of searching still no joy locating a Booth Chevrolet emblem, I was referred (thanks Paul) to the web site of Duane Saunders http://www.saundersclassics.com/cars...on/?show=slide who has a personal collection of dealer emblems comprising 3,000 unique emblems on display, several thousand duplicates and four to five thousand plastic emblems. Needless to say I was encouraged by his large inventory of duplicates which must have at least one Booth Chevrolet emblem...however he doesn't have even one! Unfortunately he couldn't help me but maybe he has, in his vast inventory of duplicates, an emblem that another SYC member has been searching for? Worth a try.

I suggest hitting the swaps where the dealer used to be.

And put a couple WANTED ads on the Towns Craigslist page of the Dealer emblem you're looking for too...List one as the dealer emblem,or another under the type of vehicle you own etc..get creative.

Thanks for the lead! Maybe I'll find what I'm looking for.

Wish I could - I live in the Pacific Northwest (Vancouver) and Booth Chevrolet was located on Long Island NY, almost 3,000 miles away. I've connected with a couple of SYC Members who live in the area who are on the lookout however no hits yet.

I've tried posting in the local Craigslist and even refreshed the posting a couple of times however not even a nibble.

20 years ago I contacted a 2nd hand shop in the very town my Chevelles dealership was originally in,(they were long gone by then)
I talked to a person who owned the shop and gave them my email & phone #.
About 5 years later,I get an email from them saying they got a yardstick in etc. from my cars selling Dealership from a salesman's family, who once worked there.
They gave me their contact info after I bought the items, and contacted that family.
That family contacted me a few years later with some more tidbits..So never give up.

Well, I contacted Duane and like you he doesn't have any. I've been looking for a Heinrich Chevrolet, Lake Ave. Rochester, NY license plate frame or tail emblem for a while. It seems to be a tough one to find. I have a few feelers out looking. Thanks again for the lead.
