They used the Hurst Auto Stick in the Deuce...it was a well made and popular shifter back in the day.

I had one of these shifters in my 69 Nova I had in high school. Everyone thought the car was a four speed. Had to be careful not to power shift up into reverse when getting on it.. LOL
