Default Very Cool '68 Charger Survivor, Orig Paint, California Black Plate Car

Awesome...and...still sporting the slant 6 and 3-on-the-tree.

Imagine a '68 Charger living out such an easy life with the base powertrain, while its siblings were thrashed/jumped/molested relentlessly. Amazing!

Still hard to believe it's worth the $31k it's currently been bid to. I would have said $20k would be about top dollar but I'm obviously wrong on this one.

I think I read somewhere only 6 ,3 speed standard 6 cyl 68 Chargers were built. Saw another one in Gold years ago from the Seattle area.

Wow, up to $42k in bidding! Hard to believe but I guess there's a high demand for survivors these days.

I'm wondering if that was considering more options, in the ad he states 906 cars were built with the straight-6 and 3 on-the-tree in '68

I guess this slant 6,three on the tree Charger,is rare and desirable.Good combo if you're selling a car!

That rusty tailpipe has a bunch of holes in it....they look too uniformly round to be rust holes. What could possibly be the reason for that? And no, I'm not accepting 'weight reduction' as a credible response

Less than 30K orig miles and the original block & trans are gone??? Like what, someone was out hot-rodding it all the time and blew them both? Seems odd. How does the carpeting at the drivers side door sill get completely worn away? Also the fact that the bidding is at $42K seems odd, 'survivor' or not.

Thats more like 129,000 miles judging by the wear and tear on that vehicle.

I saw that too Bill. I wondered. Possibly original pipes being a California car. Maybe they thought it would give it a more throaty sound. Maybe it whistles under acceleration!

It'll come back later with a different fender tag and a 440, 4 speed...
