Is that the factory accessory dashtop mounted tachometer on top of the dashboard?

Yes it is-no tach in dash. Accessory tach works (as good as it ever did, I wouldn’t use it to estimate redline shift points or anything)

It pays to keep looking! The family recently found the original paperwork for Mom’s ‘68 L72 SS427.

Used as a daily for many years seems to indicate it has a bunch of miles on it ?
The job shop paint and patchwork aren't going to help endear it to a collector.
It's a really unique car to come across and very cool to sit as purchased, but my feeling is the market for the full size cars is dwindling every day.

The family could wait for the right person to come along and pay top dollar, but if they just want to move it, $50-60,000 may be about it.
