"ZL-1 Camaro". Say the words, and folks instantly think of bare bones race cars, waging war on tracks from coast to coast. But how many imagine a loaded to the gills street car? An even better question might have been, who in their right mind would've paid over $8,000 in 1969, for a Camaro?

Well, fortunately for Dave & Jill, original owner Ed Winstead stepped into Whit Chevrolet in Fayetteville, AR, and dropped a load of cash on this very Camaro...it then stayed primarily in the Missouri Valley area of the midwest, changing hands a few times among big block Chevy fanatics. Loaded to the gills, this car sports almost every option you could throw at a Camaro back in the day. Because of it's high initial price from Chevrolet, the dealership decided to jazz up the car with stripes and emblems to help make the car more sellable, as well as set it apart from other Camaros a fraction of the price.

Today, the car still displays a scant 7,000 miles, and still sports it's original paint/stripes, and most importantly, it's original driveline. While truly rare and valuable, finding a car as ridiculously cool as this will be tough, as was selling an $8,000 Camaro back in 1969.</font>

Stunning example!
Leaves me speechless.

edit: 1 question, who did the striping? the dealer?
Its a really neat vintage look!

Got to be the most valueable camaro on the planet. Awesome, thanks Dave for showing your collection to me and my son, even though Colin was with us, LOL, at last years BJ auction. Again, unbelievable rare car.
